GlowScore (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the GlowScore mobile application and website.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from those services. We do not store your password.
  • Photos: Photos you take in the app are sent to our AI analysis service to generate your score. Photos are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers after analysis.
  • Usage data: We may collect anonymized data about how you use the app (e.g., number of analyses performed) to improve the service.

2. How we use your information

  • To authenticate your account and keep you signed in.
  • To analyze your selfie and return a makeup score using AI.
  • To improve and maintain the app's features and performance.
  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Third-party services

  • Firebase (Google): We use Firebase for authentication and account management. Firebase's privacy policy applies to data processed through their services: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
  • Google Gemini AI: Your photos are sent to Google's Gemini AI model for analysis. Google's AI terms apply: ai.google.dev/terms
  • Apple Sign In: If you use Apple Sign In, Apple's privacy policy applies.

4. Data retention

  • Your account information is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from the app's profile menu.
  • Photos are not retained after analysis — they exist in memory only for the duration of the request.
  • When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed.

5. Data security

  • All data transmission between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
  • We use Firebase's secure infrastructure for authentication and data storage.
  • We apply industry-standard measures to protect your information against unauthorized access.

6. Children's privacy

  • GlowScore is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

7. Your rights

  • Access: You can view your account information at any time in the app.
  • Deletion: You can delete your account from the Profile menu in the app, which removes all your data.
  • Portability: You may request a copy of your data by contacting us.
  • Opt-out: You may stop using the app at any time. Uninstalling the app stops all data collection.

8. Changes to this policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
